About PaisaFin
What is PaisaFin?
PaisaFin is a loan marketplace. We match you with offers from our partner banks and NBFCs and show them side by side. The lender you choose reviews your application and disburses the loan.
Will checking offers affect my credit score?
Finding offers uses a soft enquiry, which does not affect your score. A hard enquiry is made only when you apply with a lender.
Does PaisaFin charge me anything?
No. There are no hidden comparison fees — checking eligibility and comparing offers is free. Any processing fee or charges are set by the lender and shown in the offer before you apply.
FAQs
Applying for a loan
Am I obliged to accept an offer?
No. You can compare offers and walk away at any point. If you apply, the lender may ask for additional information, and approval and final terms are determined by the lender.
Who actually gives me the loan?
The lending partner you select. Your loan agreement, interest rate and repayment are with that lender, and every partner is regulated by the RBI.
How long does the whole process take?
Comparing offers takes a few minutes. After you pick one, a fully digital lender can complete KYC and disburse quickly; bank processes typically take a little longer. Secured loans take longer because the property must be valued and the title verified.
Can I apply with more than one lender?
You can, but each formal application leaves a hard enquiry on your credit report, and several in a short window can lower your score. Comparing here uses a soft enquiry precisely so you can narrow the choice before applying anywhere.
What happens if my application is declined?
The credit decision belongs to the lender, not to PaisaFin. Lenders are required to tell you the principal reason on request. A decline from one partner does not rule out the others, though it is usually worth understanding the reason before reapplying.
FAQs
Rates, fees and repayment
Why do offers differ so much between lenders?
Each lender prices risk differently and weighs income, employer, credit history and loan purpose in its own way. Two lenders can look at the same applicant and reach genuinely different conclusions, which is the entire reason comparison is worth doing.
What is the total cost of credit?
Everything you pay above the principal — interest over the full tenure, the processing fee, GST on that fee, and any documentation or insurance charges bundled in. It is the only figure that lets you compare two offers fairly, which is why we show it next to the headline rate.
Can I repay my loan early?
Usually yes, after a minimum number of EMIs set by the lender. Floating-rate home loans to individual borrowers cannot carry foreclosure charges under RBI guidance; other loans may. The terms appear on each offer before you apply.
What happens if I miss an EMI?
The lender levies a late payment charge and reports the missed payment to the credit bureaus, which lowers your score. If you expect to miss one, contact the lender before the due date — most will restructure rather than let an account slip into default.
FAQs
Data and privacy
What documents will I need?
Usually PAN, Aadhaar and recent salary slips or bank statements. The exact list depends on the lender and loan type, and is shown before you apply.
Who do you share my details with?
Only the lenders you choose to apply with, and only after you consent. We do not sell your data, and we do not pass it to lenders you have not selected.
Will I get marketing calls after using PaisaFin?
Not from us beyond what you have consented to, and not from lenders you did not apply with. If you receive a call you did not expect, tell us through the grievance process and we will trace it.
Can I ask you to delete my data?
Yes. Write to us and we will delete what we are not legally required to retain. Some records must be kept for a statutory period — the privacy policy sets out which and for how long.
Still stuck?
Raise it through our grievance process and a named officer will take it up.
